TekPlan Solutions Florida, a leader in the design and installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS), is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Controls Installers to support our growing operations throughout Florida.

Position Summary:
The Controls Installer is responsible for assisting in the installation of conduit, wire, cable, equipment, and devices associated with energy management systems including electric/electronic controls, panels, sensors, and other BAS components. Controls Installers follow installation standards and project submittals to ensure a high-quality installation that supports long-term BAS functionality.

This role is a great entry point into the building automation industry, with advancement opportunities into BAS Trainee and BAS Technician positions based on experience and technical performance.

Responsibilities:

• Install conduit, wiring, cable, and control panels in accordance with project plans and job submittals
• Mount and terminate sensors, actuators, and devices used in building automation systems
• Perform cable pulling, labeling, and wire management to meet safety and quality standards
• Follow layout drawings and wiring diagrams to complete accurate installations
• Collaborate with BAS Technicians and Project Managers to execute projects on time
• Maintain proper documentation of daily work activity and inventory usage
• Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Provide professional interaction with clients, contractors, and internal team members

Experience/Job Skills:

• 1–3 years of experience in construction, electrical installation, or related field (preferred but not required)
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, conduit installation, and control wiring
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics
• Demonstrated attention to detail with ability to follow technical instructions
• Experience working in commercial mechanical or electrical environments is a plus
• Basic familiarity with HVAC systems and building controls is desirable
• Strong work ethic with willingness to learn advanced controls and automation systems

General Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work indoors in tight spaces and on ladders or lifts
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Growth Path:
Successful Controls Installers may be promoted to BAS Trainee or BAS Technician based on performance, technical ability, and demonstrated initiative.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
