Role Description The BAS Controls Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL, responsible for installing, configuring, and testing building automation and control systems. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics, mounting and wiring field devices, and assisting with system start-up and commissioning. The role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The BAS Controls Installer will also troubleshoot control issues, perform system checks, document work performed, and communicate progress and findings to supervisors and clients. This position supports high-quality installations that enhance building performance, comfort, and energy efficiency.

• Candidates should possess communication skills that support clear interaction with project teams, contractors, and clients.
• Candidates should possess an understanding of business processes and building operations to align control installations with facility needs.
• Candidates should possess the ability to gather and interpret business requirements related to building performance and automation goals.
• Experience with BAS/BMS installation, low-voltage electrical work, or HVAC controls is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with Distech Controls or similar building automation platforms is a plus.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely, work on ladders or lifts, and follow site safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in electrical, HVAC, or automation fields preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local job sites as needed.
