We're Hiring: BAS Technician (Commissioning & Service) – London, Ontario

Ready for a new challenge? Ingenuity Controls is looking for an experienced Controls & HVAC Service Technician to join our BAS Commissioning & Service team in London, Ontario.

Ideally, you’re an HVAC Journeyperson or Red Seal certified, but we’re also open to experienced HVAC apprentices who have strong hands-on experience in service, troubleshooting, controls, and commissioning.

This role is focused on servicing, commissioning, and troubleshooting Building Automation Systems (BAS) in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing:

In this role, you’ll focus on servicing, commissioning, and troubleshooting Building Automation Systems (BAS) in the field. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Troubleshoot and diagnose BAS and HVAC system issues, identify root causes, and resolve problems in the field.

· Perform BAS commissioning and system start-ups, including point-to-point verification and functional testing.

· Respond to service issues and maintain system performance in existing buildings.

· Test and calibrate sensors, actuators, controllers, and other field devices.

· Use BAS platforms and control logic to monitor, diagnose, and address system performance issues.

· Identify and resolve deficiencies to ensure systems are operating reliably and ready for turnover.

· Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Automation, Design, installers, and programmers to resolve commissioning and service issues.

What We’re Looking For:

· HVAC Journeyperson or Red Seal certification preferred; experienced HVAC apprentices with significant relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

· 2–5 years of experience in BAS, HVAC controls, commissioning, service, and troubleshooting.

· Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and control systems.

· Experience with BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Reliable Controls or similar is an asset.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, control drawings, and sequences of operation.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field.

· Strong communication skills for working with customers and project teams.

· Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to customer sites.
