The organization supports 50+ travel teams from 8u to 18u and has facilitated over $2 million in college scholarships through continued enrollment in its teams and Player Development Program (PDP). Based in a 40,000 sq ft indoor facility, Ascent Athlete serves over 1000 active clients, including more than 40 MLB and MiLB players. Role Description The Baseball Coach at Ascent Athlete is a part-time, on-site role located in Garnet Valley, PA. The coach will lead individual and group training sessions, focusing on fundamental skills, position-specific development, and overall performance improvement. Daily responsibilities include planning and executing practice plans, providing real-time instruction and feedback, and utilizing training technology and data to guide player development. The coach will support travel team activities, assist with player evaluations, and help maintain a positive, safe training environment. Collaboration with other coaches, clear communication with athletes and families, and adherence to Ascent Athlete’s development standards are essential components of this role.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Coaching Baseball and Baseball skills, with a solid understanding of game strategy, fundamentals, and player development.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication and Coaching skills to instruct athletes clearly, motivate players, and collaborate with staff and families.
• Candidates should possess Training skills, including planning structured sessions, progressing drills appropriately, and using technology or data to enhance instruction.
• Prior experience coaching youth, high school, college, or professional baseball is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Garnet Valley and/or coaching at tournament events, with reliable availability for evenings and weekends as needed.
• Demonstrated commitment to athlete safety, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment.
