Batching Plant Operator with NC II Certification (Construction)

About the role

The Batching Plant Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining batching plant equipment used in the production of concrete for construction projects. The operator ensures that raw materials are properly measured, mixed, and batched according to approved mix designs and project specifications while following quality control procedures and workplace safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor batching plant machinery and equipment for concrete production.
• Measure and mix cement, sand, gravel, water, and other materials according to approved mix designs.
• Ensure accurate batching of materials to meet required concrete specifications.
• Monitor the operation of weighing systems, mixers, conveyors, and other plant equipment.
• Coordinate with the QAQC team, site engineers, and construction personnel regarding concrete requirements and delivery schedules.
• Check the availability and condition of raw materials before production.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance of batching plant equipment.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material discrepancies, and operational problems.
• Maintain production records, batch reports, and material consumption logs.
• Ensure the cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the batching plant area.

About you

• At least a high school graduate; vocational or technical education is an advantage.
• Must possess a relevant TESDA NC II certification, preferably in a qualification related to concrete batching, construction, or heavy equipment operation.
• Preferably with experience operating a concrete batching plant or working in a construction environment.
• Basic knowledge of concrete materials, mixing procedures, and batching operations.
• Familiarity with batching plant controls, weighing systems, and equipment maintenance.
• Able to follow technical instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.
• Physically fit, responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to work on-site.
• Willing to work overtime or shifting schedules when required by the project.
