Whiskers Resort & Pet Spa is looking for a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Dog Bather to join our grooming team at our Cascade location!

As a Dog Bather, you'll play an important role in helping our professional groomers deliver exceptional grooming services. You'll be responsible for bathing, drying, brushing, and preparing dogs for their grooming appointments while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Thursday

Location: 5925 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI (Cascade)

What You'll Do

• Bathe, dry, and brush dogs of various breeds, sizes, and coat types according to our grooming standards.
• Prepare dogs for their grooming appointments in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Perform basic grooming services, including ear cleaning, oral hygiene, and nail trimming.
• Handle dogs safely and compassionately, recognizing different behaviors, temperaments, and comfort levels.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming environment, including bathing tubs, grooming tables, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow established safety procedures and standards of care to ensure every dog's well-being.
• Work closely with groomers and other team members to keep appointments running smoothly.
• Take pride in your work, pay attention to details, and strive to get things right the first time.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to:

• Lift 50+ pounds to safely assist dogs into and out of bathing tubs and onto grooming tables.
• Stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
• Work comfortably around water, pet hair, grooming products, and dogs of all sizes.
• Maintain a steady pace while providing safe, thorough, and compassionate care.

Pay & Schedule

• Starting at $15.00 per hour, plus tips.
• Pay may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
• Full-Time: Monday through Thursday.
• Consistent four-day workweek.
