Bather/ Kennel Support

Wet Nose Lodge & Spa is looking for a dependable, hardworking team member who takes pride in keeping pets clean, comfortable, and well cared for.

This position combines dog bathing with morning kennel care and daycare support. You will help our kennel team with morning potty breaks, prepare dogs for grooming, and complete bath-only services. We need someone who follows directions carefully, pays attention to detail, and works efficiently without sacrificing safety or quality.

Schedule

Shifts begin at 6:30 a.m. and typically finish in the late morning or early afternoon. End times and weekly hours vary based on scheduled appointments, pet count, and daily workload. Applicants must be dependable and available for early morning shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist the morning kennel technician with potty breaks and general pet care, including caring for scheduled bath and grooming guests before their services.
• Thoroughly bathe, rinse, dry, and brush dogs according to their coat needs and our established procedures.
• Prepare dogs for groomers so they are ready for their scheduled haircut services.
• Complete bath-only services and boarding departure baths.
• Perform assigned spa treatments, including teeth brushing, conditioner, mud baths, and hot oil treatments, after training.
• Check your work carefully and promptly report skin concerns, handling difficulties, or other issues.
• Clean and sanitize tubs, tools, equipment, and bathing areas; complete related laundry.
• Help daycare counselors safely rotate dogs between accommodations and designated play areas.
• Assist with feeding, refreshing water, cleaning accommodations, and other kennel duties as assigned.
• Communicate clearly with groomers, kennel staff, and management to keep services and pet care running smoothly.

• Ability to stay on your feet for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and safely handling dogs with assistance when needed.
• Willingness to work around water, fur, noise, cleaning products, and pet waste.
• Ability to stay productive and work well with a team.
• Previous professional bathing, grooming assistant, kennel, or animal-handling experience is preferred.
