Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Bathroom Worker to join our facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of bathroom facilities across our premises. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help maintain a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities through diligent cleaning, maintenance, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of bathroom areas, including toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or repairs required in bathroom facilities and report issues promptly.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing supplies (toilet paper, soap dispensers) and minor repairs when necessary.
• Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment to prevent injury.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, safety checks, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with health standards.

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
• Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and knowledge of sanitation standards is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and use of floor buffers is a plus.
• Previous porter or facilities maintenance experience will be advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safety protocols during all tasks is essential.
• Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
