Battery Technician

About the Role

As a Battery Technician at Durapower Technology Group B.V., you'll inspect, maintain, repair and test lithium-ion battery systems used in commercial vehicles and energy storage. Working in our Helmond workshop and at customer sites as required, you'll work safely to approved procedures, completing defined tasks independently and supporting Battery Service Engineers on complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Operations

• Inspect, disassemble, assemble and repair battery packs and modules according to approved work instructions
• Replace cells, modules and components; Perform routine maintenance and rework
• Carry out standard diagnostics, measurements and post-repair checks; Escalate Complex Faults
• Assist with battery removals, installations and swaps at customer sites when required

Process & Quality Support

• Follow electrical/high-voltage safety, isolation and PPE procedures within your authorization
• Identify and report defects, hazards and repeat failures; maintain repair and parts traceability
• Keep work areas, tools and test equipment clean, safe and service-ready

Documentation & Teamwork

• Record repair actions, measurements, test results and parts in service reports and systems
• Prepare tools, spare parts and materials for workshop and field repairs
• Work with engineers and share feedback on tooling, work instructions and repair efficiency

Qualifications

• MBO technical education in electrical, mechanical, automotive or mechatronics, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on assembly or repair experience; battery, commercial vehicle or ESS background is a plus
• Comfortable using workshop tools, measuring equipment and technical instructions
• Safety-focused and detail-oriented, with practical problem-solving and teamwork skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Valid European driving license (B) and ability to travel on short notice
• Electrical/high-voltage training, VCA or forklift certification is an advantage; willing to obtain required qualifications
