Bay Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Bay Operator to join our team at Synergy Sterilisation (Kulim) Sdn Bhd in Batu Kawan, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our warehousing and distribution operations. As a Bay Operator, you will be responsible for managing the efficient storage, organisation and movement of materials within our facility bays. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining smooth operations and ensuring that our distribution processes run seamlessly to meet customer demands.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and managing assigned warehouse bays to ensure optimal storage and organisation of materials and products
• Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles with accuracy and efficiency
• Monitoring inventory levels within your designated bays and reporting discrepancies promptly
• Maintaining accurate records of bay operations and material movements using warehouse management systems
• Ensuring all materials are stored in compliance with safety and operational standards
• Preparing goods for dispatch and verifying orders against documentation before shipment
• Conducting regular inspections of bays to identify maintenance issues and report them to supervisors
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively
• Supporting other team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment within your assigned areas

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Operator, Bay Operator, or similar role within a warehousing or distribution environment

• Forklift certification

• Strong understanding of warehouse health and safety protocols and regulations

• Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills to ensure accurate inventory management

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet daily targets

• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors

• Basic computer literacy for warehouse management system operation

• Experience with sterilisation or pharmaceutical warehousing is advantageous but not essential
