Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Help Us Build Something Special!

Mission Hope Pediatric Therapy | New Tazewell, TN

Job Type: Full-Time (Preferred)

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Benefits: Competitive full-time benefits package

Help Us Create a Different Kind of ABA Experience!

At Mission Hope Pediatric Therapy, we believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported, celebrated, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

We are excited to expand our pediatric therapy services by introducing a new Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, and we’re searching for a passionate, compassionate, and forward-thinking Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help us bring this vision to life!

This isn’t just another BCBA position. It’s an opportunity to help shape a program from the very beginning, collaborate with an established multidisciplinary pediatric therapy team, and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families throughout our community.

Our Vision

We are developing Mission Hope’s Pathway Program, an individualized, relationship-centered approach to ABA therapy that prioritizes connection, meaningful learning, and each child’s unique strengths.

Our goal is to create an environment where children can learn through play, natural experiences, positive relationships, and everyday activities.

We believe therapy should be something children feel safe participating in, not something they simply have to get through.

Our program will emphasize:

  • Child-centered, individualized treatment plans
  • Compassionate, assent-based, and neurodiversity-affirming practices
  • Play-based learning and natural environment teaching
  • Building communication, independence, confidence, and meaningful life skills
  • Respecting each child’s individuality, preferences, and strengths
  • Meaningful family involvement and caregiver collaboration
  • Interdisciplinary teamwork with speech, occupational, and physical therapists

We are looking for a BCBA who shares these values and is excited to help develop a program that puts children and families first.

What You’ll Do

As a founding BCBA on our team, you will have the unique opportunity to help establish and grow our ABA services.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with Mission Hope leadership to develop and implement our new ABA program.
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical oversight, supervision, mentorship, and support to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
  • Help establish clinical protocols, treatment standards, and quality assurance practices.
  • Collaborate with our speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists to support coordinated care.
  • Incorporate naturalistic, play-based, and relationship-centered interventions into treatment.
  • Partner with families to identify meaningful goals and support progress beyond the clinic.
  • Monitor treatment outcomes and make thoughtful, data-informed clinical decisions.
  • Promote ethical, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate ABA practices.
  • Help create a positive, encouraging, and collaborative team culture.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is not only clinically knowledgeable but also genuinely loves working with children and believes in doing things differently when it benefits the child.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing
  • Ability to meet all applicable Tennessee licensure requirements
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental differences
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to ethical, evidence-based, child-centered care

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pediatric outpatient or multidisciplinary settings
  • Experience supervising and mentoring RBTs
  • Interest or experience in developing or growing ABA programs
  • Familiarity with naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions and assent-based practices
  • A passion for interdisciplinary collaboration and family-centered care

Why Join Mission Hope?

At Mission Hope, we are passionate about the children we serve, but we also believe in taking care of the people who care for them.

We are proud to offer:

  • Competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience
  • Competitive benefits package for full-time employees
  • An opportunity to help build and shape a brand-new ABA program
  • Leadership and professional growth opportunities as the program expands
  • A supportive, established pediatric therapy practice
  • Collaboration with experienced speech, occupational, and physical therapy professionals
  • An encouraging, team-oriented work environment
  • The opportunity to help create an innovative and meaningful therapy experience for children and families

Come Grow With Us!

We aren’t simply looking to fill a position. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of building something special.

If you’re a BCBA who believes therapy should be compassionate, individualized, engaging, and centered around the needs of each child, we would love to meet you!

Join us as we take this exciting next step in helping children learn, grow, and thrive.
