Part-Time Bead Tech – New Orleans

Don’t Wear My Glasses™ is looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Bead Tech to help keep our jewelry studio clean, organized, and ready for production. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying busy, and supporting a creative team.

The Bead Tech plays an important role in keeping our studio running smoothly by sorting beads, preparing workstations for our bead artists, maintaining inventory organization, and handling general shop upkeep and cleaning.

Position Details

• Pay Rate: $14 per hour
• Shift Length: 4-hour shifts
• Start Time: As early as 10:00 AM
• Schedule: Part-time
• Location: New Orleans / Jefferson, LA area

Responsibilities

• Sort beads by color, size, style, and type.
• Organize bead inventory and keep supplies neatly arranged.
• Prepare and stock workstations with the beads, tools, and materials artists need to begin production.
• Reset workstations between projects and keep production areas organized.
• Assist with basic inventory checks and notify the team when supplies are running low.
• Perform general cleaning and shop upkeep, including sweeping, wiping surfaces, emptying trash, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Keep shared areas, the front entrance, and the studio presentable.
• Follow studio procedures for handling beads, tools, and materials.
• Support bead artists and management with other basic studio tasks as needed.

• A team player who takes pride in keeping a workspace clean and ready for business.
• Equipped with reliable transportation to our studio.

Experience

Previous experience in retail, inventory, stocking, cleaning, crafts, jewelry-making, or production work is a plus, but formal jewelry-making experience is not required.

We are looking for someone with a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate understands that keeping a creative workspace organized is an essential part of helping artists do their best work.
