Before & After-School Program Assistant

Overview
Join us as a Before & After-School Program Assistant and become a key player in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children from the ages of 5 to 12 years old. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support young learners during critical hours of the day, helping them develop essential skills while having fun.

We are looking for someone who can work Monday - Friday in our PM Program at Dayton Elementary School from 3p - 6p. We are also looking for one person that can work Tuesday and Thursday at Dayton Elementary School in our PM Program and sub at our other locations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during before-school and after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Implement structured activities that promote childhood development, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and educational projects.
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Assist with homework help.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to safety standards and program guidelines.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred but not required; training can be provided upon hire.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a positive and safe environment for children.
• Clean background check and drug test.
• Minimum education of high school diploma or GED equivalent

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
