Befriender

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Befriender to provide companionship and support to individuals in need. As a Befriender, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being and quality of life of those you assist. **Duties:** - Engage in friendly conversations and activities with individuals requiring companionship - Provide emotional support and a listening ear to alleviate feelings of loneliness - Accompany individuals on outings or appointments as needed - Assist with light household tasks, if necessary - Maintain regular communication with care providers to ensure the well-being of the individual **Skills:** - Experience or willingness to learn about dementia care - Proficiency in English for effective communication - Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes - Strong interpersonal skills to engage and connect with individuals in a meaningful way This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life by providing companionship and support. Pay: £12.71 per hour
