Behavior Specialist
Location: Royale Mission Viejo MHRC
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Royale Mission Viejo is looking for a dedicated Behavior Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with residents to promote independence, participation, and positive behavioral outcomes through structured therapeutic programming and individualized support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups, rehabilitation programs, recreational activities, and community outings.
• Implement behavior modification programs, including reward systems, behavioral interventions, and motivational techniques.
• Monitor resident participation and document responses to treatment and activity programs.
• Assist residents in achieving their highest level of functioning while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans and treatment goals.
• Recognize, report, and appropriately respond to challenging behaviors and resident incidents.
• Support resident rights, safety initiatives, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in ongoing training, emergency preparedness activities, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work effectively with behavioral health residents, interdisciplinary teams, and family members.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
