  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans based on assessment findings and the individual's needs.
  • Identify appropriate replacement behaviors and skill-building strategies to promote independence and quality of life.
  • Monitor behavioral data, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Provide training and ongoing consultation to family members, caregivers, and direct support staff regarding behavioral interventions.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with service coordinators, family members, residential providers, direct support professionals, and other members of the individual's interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in team meetings to review behavioral progress, address concerns, and coordinate services.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders to promote consistent implementation of behavioral strategies.
  • Develop positive working relationships with individuals receiving services and their support systems.

Community-Based Services and Case Management

  • Travel to individuals' homes, residential settings, day habilitation programs, and other community locations to provide behavioral support services.
  • Independently manage a caseload, including scheduling appointments, coordinating visits, and prioritizing service needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, progress, and services provided.
  • Ensure services and documentation align with applicable Texas HCS program requirements, organizational policies, and professional ethical standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, active Texas licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification with applicable Texas licensure.
  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, including either:
    • Direct implementation of ABA programs under the supervision of a BCBA; or
    • Independent development, implementation, and oversight of ABA programs as a BCBA.
  • Knowledge of behavioral assessment, behavior intervention strategies, and data-based decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain an organized schedule.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to community-based service locations.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
