Behavior Technician (BT) Position Overview:

 

We’re looking for caring, motivated individuals to step into the role of Behavior Technician. Working closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll help implement personalized behavior plans and teach essential life skills in home, school, and community settings. As a Behavior Technician, you will be key in providing evidence-based interventions, tracking progress, and helping clients achieve meaningful goals.

 

Behavior Technician (BT) Responsibilities:

 

            - Follow the Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) created by the BCBA to address the unique needs and goals of each client.

            - Provide direct, one-on-one instruction to clients using ABA techniques such as discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching, and behavior management strategies.

            - Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using designated tools and methods.

            - Help clients acquire and practice functional skills in areas such as communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.

            - Create a supportive, positive environment that promotes client engagement, motivation, and autonomy.

            - Work closely with the BCBA and team members to review progress and adjust strategies as needed for consistency across environments.

            - Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members, providing progress updates and sharing relevant information.

            - Engage in continuous professional development to enhance ABA skills and knowledge.

 

Behavior Technician (BT) Qualifications:

 

            - Ability to follow instructions, implement behavior intervention plans, and collect accurate data.

            - Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to clients’ homes, schools, or other settings.

            - Commitment to ethical standards, maintaining client confidentiality, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
