Job Summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BT/RBT will implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve social, communication, adaptive, and behavioral skills.

The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of clients and their families.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Implement behavior intervention plans as developed by the supervising BCBA.

-Provide direct one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to assigned clients.

-Collect and record accurate data on client progress and treatment outcomes.

-Assist clients in developing communication, social, self-help, and daily living skills.

-Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors.

-Maintain consistent communication with supervisors regarding client progress and concerns.

-Participate in required supervision sessions, team meetings, and trainings.

-Follow company policies and procedures related to client confidentiality, safety, and compliance.

-Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

-Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements

-High School Diploma or GED required.

-Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges preferred.

-Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

-Ability to work independently while following established treatment protocols.

-Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes, schools, or community settings as needed.

-Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

-Must meet all Maxim Healthcare Services and state-specific screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

-Previous experience providing ABA therapy.

-Experience with data collection and behavior management techniques.

-Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements

-Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout a therapy session.

-Ability to lift and/or assist clients as needed in accordance with safety guidelines.

-Ability to respond quickly in crisis situations while maintaining client and staff safety.
