Behavior Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Behavior Technician to join our team in providing exceptional behavioral support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement evidence-based interventions, assist with daily living activities, and collect vital data to support clients’ progress. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, and other self-care routines
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles under supervision
• Collect, record, and analyze behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions
• Support clients in educational settings by applying teaching strategies aligned with special education practices
• Conduct behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistency and progress
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding medical records and sensitive client information

Skills

• Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and implementation of therapy protocols
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation, and medical records management
• Ability to perform behavioral data collection accurately and efficiently during sessions
• Familiarity with special education practices, behavior management strategies, and client communication techniques
• Prior experience in home-based behavioral therapy or school settings is highly desirable
• Commitment to ethical standards outlined in the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
