Behavior Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic bilingual (English and Amharic) Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team for in home therapy committed to transforming lives through behavioral health and therapy. As an RBT, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Use behavioral therapy techniques to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors in clients
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, dressing, and other self-care tasks
• Collect accurate data on client progress, behaviors, and skill acquisition to inform treatment adjustments
• Support teaching activities across various settings, including home, school, or community environments
• Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in behavioral health strategies and client progress

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Behavior Technician certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or eligible for certification
• Two to three years of experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles
• Ability to effectively collect and analyze data related to client behaviors and progress
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
• Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and team members
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to assist individuals in reaching their full potential

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 24.0 per week

Application Question(s):

• Evenings and weekends availability required.
• Previous two to three years of experience in ABA required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred and have at least 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience or training in examining or treating people with ASD or a related condition, or equivalent documented coursework at the graduate level by an accredited university in the areas of ASD diagnostics, ASD developmental and behavioral treatment strategies and typical child development, or a combination of coursework or hours or experience.
