What they need

We're Hiring: Behavior Technician (BT)

Location: Uxbridge, MA Reports to: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) | Schedule: Monday–Friday Hours will vary

Are you patient, energetic, and passionate about helping children and young adults grow? We're looking for a Behavior Technician to join our team and deliver one-on-one, evidence-based ABA therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). If you love making learning fun and meaningful for kids, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with children and young adults with autism under the supervision of a BCBA, applying evidence-based behavior analytic techniques to build functional communication, daily living, and social skills
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and communicate progress and observations to the BCBA in a timely manner to help refine them
  • Keep clients motivated by tailoring activities and techniques to their preferences
  • Help clients de-escalate using Safety Care techniques and by prompting appropriate replacement skills
  • Maintain accurate records of client performance through daily data collection and clinical notes, in full compliance with HIPAA
  • Prepare and create materials ahead of upcoming sessions
  • Bring patience, positivity, and resilience to every session, and deliver services in a way that's fun, engaging, and authentic
  • Adapt your approach in real time based on each client's needs, profile, and direction from the clinical team
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of team members, including clients, parents, and BCBAs
  • Stay physically engaged — moving easily between sitting (on the floor or in a chair) and standing, lifting up to 25 lbs. routinely, and keeping clients safe in the moment (e.g., if a client bolts)
  • Take on other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to apply for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 30 days of your start date
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, sex offender background check, and driving history check
  • Availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Paid orientation
  • Paid sick time
  • Paid time off
  • Paid training
