We are seeking a warm, reliable, and engaging BT who is available for a few hours in the evenings. You will work directly with the client to implement an individualized treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst, focusing on skill development, positive behavior support, communication, and independence. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent, part-time evening case and meaningful hands-on experience in ABA.
Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and dressing, promoting independence and self-care skills.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress towards goals, and intervention outcomes accurately and consistently.
- Support the development and execution of individualized care plans and behavior management strategies tailored to each client’s needs as determined by supervising BCBA.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to monitor client progress, adjust interventions as needed, and ensure consistency across all care activities.
- Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages learning, growth, and emotional well-being for clients.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Ability to assist with ADLs while maintaining sensitivity and patience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance.
- Skilled in data collection methods for tracking behavioral progress and documenting care activities.
- Excellent teaching abilities combined with compassionate care to support learning and development.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, educators, therapists, and healthcare professionals.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude to foster a supportive environment for clients’ growth. Join us in empowering individuals through compassionate care and innovative behavioral strategies! This paid position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in behavioral health, special education, or related fields while making a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
