Behavior Therapist

Overview

Help adults and individuals with developmental disabilities build skills and participate more fully in daily life as a Behavior Therapist. You’ll provide direct behavioral therapy, apply individualized care plans, and support learning across home, school, and other settings. Your impact: Consistent, compassionate therapy helps clients strengthen communication and daily living skills while giving families and care teams practical support.

Duties

• Deliver behavioral therapy, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children, using established protocols and behavior management strategies.
• Teach and support daily living skills, including activities of daily living (ADLs), and assist with patient care as appropriate.
• Collect and document behavioral data, maintain medical records, and follow care plans and privacy requirements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Communicate with clients, families, and team members about progress and support needs.
• Provide services in home or school settings as assigned, adapting approaches to clients with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental needs.

Skills

• Experience working with children and individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy, ABA, teaching, special education, and behavioral health; experience implementing ABA therapy protocols is preferred.
• Ability to collect behavioral data and complete medical documentation; familiarity with medical terminology is helpful.
• Home-based behavioral experience and school experience are valued.
• Professional, ethical practice, including familiarity with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts, and clear client communication.

Pay: $26.28 - $31.65 per hour
