Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity.
• Support residents with medication administration following proper protocols to ensure safety and adherence to care plans.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status and report any concerns promptly.
• Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs, fostering positive interactions and reducing challenging behaviors.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and social interactions that enhance their quality of life and promote cognitive engagement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, behavioral observations, and client progress in compliance with agency policies.
• Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injury during transfers or mobility assistance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, geriatrics, and resident’s rights enhances your ability to support clients effectively.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in medication administration and safe patient lifting is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is beneficial.
• Ability to operate a standard passenger car for client transportation purposes.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with manual handling tasks safely.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
