What they need

An established and growing allied health provider is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join their Perth team on a permanent 0.5 FTE basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner looking to reduce their hours, balance another role or commitment, or simply find a position that offers greater flexibility without moving into contracting.

The Role
Working within a supportive multidisciplinary allied health environment, you'll provide Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) services to NDIS participants across the Perth region.

You'll manage a varied caseload and work closely with participants, families, carers, support coordinators and other health professionals to develop practical, evidence-based strategies that promote independence, quality of life and meaningful outcomes.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Assessing behaviours of concern and identifying contributing factors
  • Developing individualised, evidence-based behaviour support strategies
  • Supporting the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices
  • Providing education, coaching and practical strategies to families, carers and support workers
  • Monitoring participant progress and reviewing interventions
  • Completing NDIS documentation and clinical reports
  • Working in accordance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
  • Collaborating with support coordinators and multidisciplinary health professionals

There is flexibility to align your caseload with your experience, strengths and areas of clinical interest.

Why This Role?
This isn't an organisation looking to fill your diary for the sake of hitting unrealistic targets.

You'll be given the autonomy to manage your own schedule and focus on delivering quality participant outcomes within a supportive and collaborative environment.

With a 0.5 FTE structure, this opportunity could be particularly attractive if you're looking to maintain your clinical career while creating more space outside of work.

What's On Offer?

  • Permanent part-time – 0.5 FTE
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Autonomy over your diary and schedule
  • Established NDIS caseload
  • Varied community-based participant presentations
  • Supportive multidisciplinary allied health environment
  • Work alongside experienced clinicians
  • Strong administrative and organisational support
  • Flexibility around how your part-time hours are structured
  • Opportunity for ongoing professional development
  • Supportive and growing organisation
  • Genuine focus on quality participant outcomes
  • Streamlined interview process

About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Behavioural Science or a related discipline
  • Registration or suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • Previous experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks and restrictive practices
  • Experience completing Functional Behaviour Assessments and Behaviour Support Plans
  • Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
