About the role

The Prestige Hotel is seeking a professional and courteous Bellman to join our Front Office & Guest Services team in George Town, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in creating memorable first impressions for our guests. As a Bellman, you will be the first point of contact for many of our arrivals and departures, setting the tone for their entire stay at our hotel. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of hospitality and service excellence that define The Prestige Hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome arriving guests warmly and assist them with luggage handling, ensuring all belongings are safely transported to guest rooms
• Provide guests with comprehensive information about hotel facilities, amenities, local attractions and dining options
• Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure efficient handling of special requests or additional services
• Maintain the lobby and entrance areas in a clean, welcoming and organised manner at all times
• Coordinate with front desk and housekeeping staff to ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs
• Arrange transportation services, including assistance with taxis, ride-sharing and airport transfers
• Monitor the lobby area for security purposes and report any concerns to management
• Assist with luggage storage and retrieval for guests during extended stays or early departures
• Perform light maintenance tasks, including opening doors, assisting guests with packages and carrying items as needed
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct in accordance with hotel dress code and standards

• Fresh graduates welcomed
• Have an eye for details and able to provide best fit solutions for guests
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with fluency in English.
• Self starter, goal oriented, eye for details and has an ability to drive change
• Responsible, reliable and committed.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
