About Our Client

Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia, they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin.

What You Will Be Doing

Working as a Bench Hand in an open-cut coal mining environment, you will support drilling and blasting operations by assisting with the safe handling of explosives, loading blast holes, preparing blast patterns, and maintaining equipment. You will work closely with the drill and blast crew to ensure daily production targets are achieved while adhering to site safety and operational procedures. This role offers a 7/7 Day Shift only roster, on a open-cut mine near Moura.

What you will need

·         Previous experiencing working as a Bench Hand in an open-cut coal mine

·         Current Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical or be willing to obtain.

·         Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen.

·         Current HR Licence & full working rights in Australia.

·         Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (QESC)

·         ASIO Police Check
