Position Overview:

Yanina & Co. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Bench Jeweler Apprentice with a passion for fine jewelry, craftsmanship, and precision. This position offers an opportunity to learn traditional jewelry-making and repair techniques while working alongside experienced jewelers in a professional environment.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and demonstrates patience, dexterity, and a strong commitment to craftsmanship. The apprentice will assist with jewelry repairs, maintenance, finishing, and workshop tasks while developing the technical skills needed to become a skilled bench jeweler.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced jewelers with jewelry repairs, alterations, and restoration.
• Learn basic jewelry fabrication, soldering, polishing, filing, and finishing techniques.
• Assist with sizing rings, repairing chains, replacing components, and other routine jewelry services as training permits.
• Learn to handle precious metals, gemstones, and fine jewelry with care.
• Prepare jewelry and tools for repair and production work.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench and workshop environment.
• Follow quality-control procedures to ensure each piece meets Yanina & Co.'s standards.
• Handle customer jewelry carefully and maintain confidentiality and accountability.
• Assist with inventory, work orders, and other workshop duties as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures when using jewelry-making tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Genuine interest in fine jewelry, jewelry making, and repair.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Willingness to learn from experienced jewelers and accept constructive feedback.
• Dependable, organized, patient, and committed to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within a team.
• Previous jewelry-making experience, vocational training, or familiarity with hand tools is a plus, but not required.
• No prior professional bench jeweler experience required for the right candidate.
