Bench Joiner

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a well-established and highly respected specialist joinery manufacturer based in Elland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced joiner to join a busy workshop environment, working on a varied range of bespoke and high-quality joinery projects across commercial, retail, hospitality and other sectors.

The Role

As a Bench Joiner, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality bespoke joinery products from drawings and specifications.

Your duties will include:

• Manufacturing bespoke joinery and furniture to a high standard
• Working from technical drawings and specifications
• Setting out, cutting and assembling timber and sheet materials
• Manufacturing doors, counters, display units, furniture and other bespoke items
• Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to specification
• Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
• Working to production deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment
• Working as part of an experienced and skilled manufacturing team

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Bench Joiner, Cabinet Maker or Bespoke Joiner
• Strong workshop/manufacturing experience
• The ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Experience working with solid timber and sheet materials
• Excellent attention to detail
• High standards of workmanship
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A good understanding of workshop health and safety

Relevant joinery qualifications would be advantageous, although proven experience and quality of workmanship are the key requirements.
