Bodhi Bespoke is looking for experienced Bench Joiners to join our new bespoke joinery manufacturing workshop in Monton.
We manufacture high-quality bespoke joinery and furniture for commercial interiors, retail, shopfitting and associated fit-out projects.
The role requires an experienced joiner who can work from drawings and cutting information to manufacture finished joinery to a consistently high standard.
We are looking for people who take genuine pride in their work and understand that quality, accuracy and presentation are critical when manufacturing bespoke furniture.

- Locks.
- Handles.
- Shelf supports.
- Adjustable feet and associated furniture hardware.
- Accurately drill, assemble, glue, screw and finish components.
- Check dimensions against drawings throughout the manufacturing process.
- Carry out your own quality checks before items leave your bench.
- Ensure finished products are clean, complete and free from damage.
- Identify manufacturing or drawing issues before they affect production.
- Work closely with the Workshop Manager and machinist to maintain production flow.
- Keep your bench and surrounding work area clean and organised.
- Look after tools, equipment and workshop machinery.
- Follow workshop health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
- Assist with packing and preparation of finished goods where required.
- Take responsibility for the quality of joinery manufactured at your bench.
Quality Responsibility
Bodhi Bespoke places a strong emphasis on individual ownership of quality.
Each joiner will be expected to inspect their completed work and take responsibility for the standard of the units they manufacture.
Completed units will be identified through the Bodhi Bespoke quality-control system, including the operative responsible for manufacture and the production date.
We want our joiners to be proud to put their name against the finished product.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- Proven bench joinery or furniture manufacturing experience.
- Experience within bespoke joinery, commercial furniture, shopfitting or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand joinery drawings.
- Good understanding of cabinetry and furniture construction.
- Experience working with MDF, MFC, laminates and associated board products.
- Experience fitting furniture ironmongery.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately to dimensions.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
- A strong understanding of workshop health and safety.
Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- Pharmacy furniture.
- Retail/shopfitting joinery.
- Reception desks and counters.
- CNC-produced furniture components.
- Edge-banded panel construction.
- Solid-surface materials.

Qualifications
A recognised joinery qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent would be advantageous; however, demonstrable experience and quality of workmanship are equally important.
A CSCS card would be beneficial where occasional site installation work is required but is not essential for a workshop-only position.
What We Are Looking For
We are building a modern and professional manufacturing operation and want joiners who want to be part of that development.
We are looking for people who:
- Take pride in their workmanship.
- Care about getting things right first time.
- Look after tools, machinery and materials.
- Can work productively without sacrificing quality.
- Communicate problems rather than allowing them to continue through production.
- Want to contribute ideas for improving how the workshop operates.
- Work well as part of a close manufacturing team.
There is an opportunity for the right people to develop with Bodhi Bespoke as the workshop and manufacturing operation grows.
