Location: Elland, West Yorkshire (HX5)
Pay: £16.50 – £21.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Duration: Guaranteed work until Christmas, with the opportunity for a permanent position

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a well-established joinery company based in Elland, West Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable joiner looking for consistent, full-time work in a workshop environment, with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The role offers competitive hourly rates, regular working hours and a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out bench joinery and manufacturing work within a workshop environment.
• Reading and working from technical drawings and specifications.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber components.
• Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring all finished products meet high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Working independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Bench Joiner or Workshop Joiner.
• Confident using a range of woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Hours

• Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm
• Weekends: Off

Pay & Benefits

• £16.50 – £21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Weekly pay.
• Full-time, consistent working hours.
• Workshop-based role – no travelling between sites.
