Bench Joiner/Fitter

Phillips Joinery is a well-established manufacturer and installer of bespoke joinery, serving commercial and residential clients throughout the UK. Due to continued growth within our Counters Division, we are looking to recruit a skilled Joiner / Fitter to join our team.

This is a hands-on role working on the manufacture and installation of bespoke counters, bars, reception desks, retail fixtures and interior joinery projects. The successful candidate will take pride in producing high-quality workmanship and delivering projects to the high standards our customers expect.

The Role

You will be involved in both workshop manufacturing and on-site installation, working as part of a skilled team to deliver a wide range of bespoke joinery solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manufacturing bespoke counters and interior joinery items from technical drawings.
• Bench joinery, assembly and finishing of high-quality products.
• Installing counters, reception desks, feature joinery and associated items on client sites.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets company standards.
• Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
• Assisting with loading, unloading and preparation of projects for installation.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, project teams and customers when on-site.
• Supporting colleagues to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience as a Joiner, Bench Joiner, Shopfitter or Joinery Installer.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good practical problem-solving skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.

Desirable:

• Experience within commercial interiors, retail fit-out or bespoke joinery.
• CSCS Card.
• Experience working with laminate, solid surface materials and specialist finishes.
