What they need

What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a Benefits Operations Associate to join our Compensation & Benefits team in EMEA. This role sits at the heart of our employee experience - ensuring that Tesla's benefits programs are administered accurately, compliantly, and efficiently across all EMEA markets.

As a Benefits Operations Associate, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and oversight of a broad range of employee benefits - including Health Insurance, Pensions, Life & Disability, and supplementary programs - supporting employees across the full lifecycle from hire to retire. You will work closely with HR, Payroll, Legal, and IT to ensure regional compliance and seamless program delivery, while serving as a key point of contact for complex employee and manager enquiries.

You will also collaborate closely with the People Analytics team to identify data-driven opportunities for process improvement, leveraging insights to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and continuously elevate the employee benefits experience across EMEA.

This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-country environment and is passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience through operational excellence, data integrity, and continuous process improvement.

Beyond operational delivery, this role is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on the employee experience. We are looking for someone who does not just maintain the status quo, but actively identifies opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve - reducing friction for employees and driving a benefits experience that reflects Tesla's commitment to its people.

What You'll Do

  • End-to-End Regional Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operation of various Employee Benefits Programs across EMEA, including, but not limited to, Health Insurance, Pensions, Life & Disability, and all supplementary benefits ensuring an exceptional employee experience from hire to retire with efficient processes in place
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align closely with HR, Payroll, Legal, and IT to ensure regional tax, social security, and statutory deductions are executed accurately
  • Tier 2 Employee Support: Resolve complex, high-touch inquiries from employees and managers regarding benefits eligibility and coverage, while identifying ticket trends to proactively reduce inbound volume through self-serve options and process automation
  • Data Integration & Systems Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee data across HRIS platforms and external vendor portals, ensuring seamless system rollouts and data synchronization
  • Financial Oversight & Auditing: Manage the end-to-end benefits invoicing process and conduct regular, rigorous benefit audits to ensure compliance, data accuracy, and timely premium payments
  • Analytics Collaboration: Partner with the People Analytics team to surface data-driven insights, identify trends, and spot opportunities for process improvement that enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual effort across the benefits function

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in HR operations, shared services, or total rewards administration, specifically with exposure to managing benefits across multiple EMEA countries
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of benefits processes, HRIS platforms and ticketing/case management systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication, customer support, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to navigate complex, confidential situations
  • Regulatory & Legal Acumen: Understanding of local labor laws, statutory/private benefits structures, and tax implications within the EMEA region is a plus
  • Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and deliver accurately in a fast-paced, multi-country environment
  • Language: Business fluency in English is required; fluency in an additional European language is an advantage

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, gender identity or any other factor protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
