About the role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join the team at YS AUTOWORLD (BERA) SDN. BHD., a leading PROTON dealer based in Bera, Pahang. This is a full-time position where you will be the vital link between our valued customers and our service department, ensuring exceptional service experiences and building lasting relationships.

As a Service Advisor at our PROTON dealership, you will play a crucial role in managing customer interactions, understanding their vehicle service needs, and coordinating with our technical teams to deliver high-quality automotive service solutions. Your expertise and professionalism will directly impact customer satisfaction and loyalty, making this role integral to the success of our service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting customers in a warm and professional manner upon arrival at the service centre
• Listening carefully to customer concerns and accurately documenting vehicle issues and service requirements
• Explaining service recommendations, repair costs, and timeframes in clear and understandable terms
• Creating service work orders with detailed information to guide the technical team
• Coordinating with technicians to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards
• Providing regular updates to customers regarding their vehicle service status and any additional findings
• Processing payments, invoices, and other administrative documentation accurately and professionally
• Recommending appropriate PROTON genuine parts and service packages to meet customer needs
• Maintaining detailed customer records and service histories in the dealership management system
• Following up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Achieving customer satisfaction targets and contributing to the dealership's reputation for excellence
• Staying informed about PROTON vehicle specifications, service intervals, and warranty requirements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair services, and PROTON products (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical information in simple terms
• Proficiency in using automotive service management software and computer systems
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer inquiries simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and demeanour with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns with patience and diplomacy
• Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and common automotive issues
• Relevant certification or training in automotive service (advantageous)
• Fluency in Malay and English; additional languages are a plus
• High level of integrity and reliability with a strong work ethic
