BESS Solution Manager

Develop Innovative Service Solutions for the Energy Transition

Envision Energy Australia is seeking a BESS Solution Manager to lead the development of competitive service solutions for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

This is an opportunity to combine your technical service expertise with commercial strategy, tender management, pricing and contract negotiations in a growing renewable energy business.

Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Service, Commercial and Legal teams, you will shape long-term service offerings, manage commercial and technical risks, and help deliver solutions that meet customer requirements while supporting business profitability. You will also collaborate with our headquarters in Shanghai, China to align global expertise with regional customer and market needs.

The Opportunity

This role is central to developing and securing competitive BESS service agreements, from early-stage tendering through to contract negotiation and project handover.

You will bring together service solution design, lifecycle asset management, cost modelling and commercial risk management to ensure proposed service commitments are practical, commercially sound and aligned with operational capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Solution Development: Develop BESS service solutions, including service scope, maintenance strategies, resource models, spare parts strategies and lifecycle assumptions.

• Tender Management: Lead the service workstream for BESS tenders and proposals, coordinating internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality submissions.

• Pricing and Cost Modelling: Develop pricing and cost models for Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA), O&M agreements and other service offerings, including commercial and sensitivity analysis.

• Contract Review and Negotiation: Review and negotiate service-related contractual terms, identify technical and commercial risks, and develop appropriate qualifications and mitigation strategies.

• China HQ Coordination: Act as a key interface between regional teams and China headquarters on service solutions, pricing, technical-commercial matters and contractual positions.

• Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the service solution function in customer discussions and negotiations and support the handover of awarded projects to the service execution team.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy, Business or a related discipline.

• 5-10 years Relevant experience in BESS, renewable energy, power generation or technical service businesses.

• Experience in pre-sales, tendering, service solution development, pricing, commercial management or contract negotiation in the Australian BESS market.

• Highly developed understanding of utility-scale BESS systems, maintenance requirements and lifecycle asset management.

• Experience with LTSA, O&M agreements or other long-term service contracts will be highly regarded.

• Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and the ability to assess the financial impact of technical and contractual commitments.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; English and Mandarin Chinese bilingual capability is highly preferred.

• Experience working across regional and China-based teams is highly desirable.

• A structured, proactive and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritise effectively and collaborate in a multicultural environment.
