Best ED TECH Job Ever!!!

Take a beautiful ferry ride from Casco Bay lines each morning at 7:45 AM and return to Portland around 3 pm Mon thru Thur and work only half day Fridays returning to Portland around 12:45! At school you will work with an exceptionally talented experienced teacher. We currently have four wonderful students with whom you will provide regular education support/instruction, and provide supervision for lunch, snack and recess, as well as drive student in the school car as needed.

Long Island School is looking for a certified full-time flexible educational technician level two or three (ET II or III) for a 34 hr work week during the school year. (More hours are possible).

The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Responsibilities

• be a positive collaborative team player
• protect confidentiality of student, parent and employee information
• deliver individual and small group instruction
• plan/prep lessons/activities under the direction of the teacher
• support teacher planning and prep through collaboration or clerical tasks
• record student progress during lessons/assessments
• supervise students during recess and lunch
• transport students or visiting staff/consultants
• participate in professional development and maintain the Me DOE Ed Tech 2 or 3 Certification
• perform other duties as assigned

Pay rate and benefits for fully certified Ed Tech 2 or 3:

This position has a competitive hourly pay rate, between $25 and $30 per hr, commensurate with cerification level and experience. This position works during student days and on the teacher professional development days in which you participate.
