Beverage Service Worker

Job Summary

Harbor Coffee is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Beverage Service Worker to support daily café operations and provide quality beverage service to guests. This role involves taking orders, preparing and serving coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, assisting with café service, maintaining clean work areas, restocking supplies, and supporting the team during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and other café drinks according to established procedures.
• Assist with beverage preparation, portioning, garnishing, and order presentation as needed.
• Answer customer questions about beverages, ingredients, and café offerings.
• Ensure beverage orders are accurate, complete, and served promptly.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, beverage stations, tables, and work areas.
• Clean and maintain coffee machines, brewing equipment, and beverage service tools according to established procedures.
• Restock coffee, tea, syrups, ingredients, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies.
• Assist with setting up beverage stations and preparing equipment for daily operations.
• Monitor beverage supplies and communicate inventory needs to supervisors.
• Support coworkers during busy service periods to maintain efficient operations.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle beverages, equipment, and café supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate customer requests, service concerns, and equipment issues to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café duties.
• Help maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude throughout each shift.
• Perform other beverage service and café support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, beverage service, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
• Good attention to detail and beverage order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn beverage preparation and café procedures.

Pay: $22.78 - $24.06 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
