Minimum Qualifications

1. Must possess a valid TESDA National Certificate (NC II) in Heavy Equipment Operation – Backhoe Loader, or the specific TESDA qualification applicable to backhoe operation.
2. Must have at least 2 years of actual experience operating a backhoe/backhoe loader.
3. Must have sufficient knowledge and skills in the safe and proper operation of heavy equipment.
4. Preferably experienced in construction, mining, quarry, roadworks, excavation, and earthmoving operations.
5. Must be knowledgeable in pre-operation and post-operation inspection of the backhoe.
6. Must be capable of properly operating the backhoe boom, arm, bucket, loader, and hydraulic controls.
7. Must be knowledgeable in excavation, trenching, digging, loading, backfilling, and material handling.
8. Must understand equipment stability, load capacity, swing radius, blind spots, and safe operating distances.
9. Must be capable of operating the backhoe safely on rough, uneven, muddy, sloping, and confined work areas.
10. Must have knowledge of basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
11. Must be able to communicate and coordinate properly with spotters, ground personnel, supervisors, and other equipment operators.
12. Must strictly follow company safety policies, PPE requirements, site rules, and standard operating procedures.
13. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of a Backhoe Operator.
14. Must have a good safety and work record.
15. Willing to work overtime, shifting schedules, and remote/project locations, as required.
