BI Architect

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced BI Architect with strong expertise in Power BI, Tableau, SQL to support BI engagements.

Job Description

-- Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions to transform raw data into actionable insights. -- Collaborate with data engineers, stakeholders, and IT teams to create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that facilitate data-driven decision-making. -- 5+ years of experience as BI Architect -- Involves data modeling, ETL processes, and ensuring data accuracy while staying updated with advancements to optimize analytics capabilities. -- Participates in rapid prototyping and POC development efforts. -- Advances overall enterprise technical architecture (BI) and implementation best practices. -- Assists in efforts to develop and refine functional and non-functional requirements. -- Participates in iteration and release planning. -- Informs efforts to develop and refine functional and non-functional requirements. -- Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position. -- Strong ability to produce high-quality, properly functioning deliverables the first time. -- Delivers work product according to established deadlines. -- Estimates tasks with a level of granularity and accuracy commensurate with the information provided. -- Works collaboratively in a small team. -- Excels in a rapid iteration environment with short turnaround times. -- Deals positively with high levels of uncertainty, ambiguity, and shifting priorities. -- Accepts a wide variety of tasks and pitches in wherever needed. -- Constructively presents, discusses and debates alternatives. -- Constructively presents, discusses and debates alternatives. -- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing. -- Takes direction from Architect and upper management. -- Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties. -- Proficient in Power BI and Tableau. -- Hands on experience in Microsoft Fabrics. -- Proficient in SQL -- Experience of performance tuning of Bi reports and dashboards -- Experience with Cloud technologies Azure & AWS is preferred. -- Deep understanding of one or more source/version control systems. Develops branching and merging strategies -- Working understanding of Web API, REST, JSON. -- Experience in unit testing. -- Bachelors Degree is required, and/or a minimum of four (4) + related work experience.

Must-Have Skills:

-- Strong experience with data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning. -- Solid SQL skills and experience working with large datasets. -- Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD for data solutions. -- Ability to work in Agile environments and with remote teams. -- Proficient in client engagement and proactive communication with client/team.

Soft Skills:

-- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -- Proven ability to work independently in a client-facing role. -- Experience in mentoring or coaching team members is a plus. -- To adhere to the Information Security Management policies and procedures.
