Government Bid & Proposal Specialist

IT Hardware | Federal & SLED

The Role

We seek an experienced specialist to manage U.S. federal and SLED (state, local government, and education) bids from opportunity identification through final submission. The successful candidate must have direct experience preparing compliant IT product bids, coordinating supplier quotes, and developing competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify and qualify relevant opportunities; recommend bid/no-bid decisions based on eligibility, requirements, supplier availability, and profitability.

· Review solicitations, specifications, amendments, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements.

· Obtain manufacturer and distributor quotes; verify part numbers, product compliance, availability, warranty, and delivery terms.

· Prepare accurate pricing, including product costs, freight, applicable charges, and margins, for management approval.

· Prepare and submit complete, compliant responses to RFQs, RFPs, and invitations for bids within required deadlines.

· Maintain the bid pipeline, compliance checklists, submission records, and follow-up calendar.
Track awards and buyer feedback; report results and coordinate handover of awarded orders.

Required Experience & Qualifications

· At least three years of hands-on U.S. public-sector bidding experience, including both federal and SLED procurement.

· Direct experience bidding IT hardware, networking equipment, or related technology products, preferably for an IT reseller or distributor.

· Demonstrated responsibility for managing bids from solicitation review through pricing, preparation, and submission.

· Proficiency with SAM.gov and relevant state, local government, and education procurement portals.

· Practical experience coordinating supplier quotes, matching product specifications, and calculating bid pricing and margins.

· Ability to identify mandatory requirements, purchasing restrictions, and commercial risks.

· Strong written English, Excel proficiency, attention to detail, and deadline management.

Preferred Experience

· California public-sector procurement, including Cal eProcure and college or university purchasing.

· Manufacturer authorization, special bid pricing, and deal registration.

· Small-business set-asides, GSA schedules, and cooperative purchasing contracts.

Pay: From Rs70,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Bidding in US including both federal and SLED procurement: 4 years (Required)
• US. public-sector bidding: 3 years (Required)
• Proficiency with SAM.gov and relevant state: 3 years (Required)
• Government, and education procurement portals: 3 years (Required)

Language:

• Excellent communication, written and verbal (Required)
