BigFix Engineer

Job highlights

• . 3+ years of experience in IBM BigFix platform (also known as HCL BigFix)

• Experience with client troubleshooting,relay / server setup,and patch compliance reporting

• Administer and manage IBM BigFix infrastructure for endpoint configuration, patching, and compliance.

• Develop, test, and deploy custom Fixlets, Tasks, Actions, and Baselines using BigFix Console.

• Configure BigFix Patch Management, Lifecycle Management, and Security Compliance modules.

• Monitor BigFix health and performance; maintain relays, root servers, and console user management.

• Collaborate with security and operations teams to deploy security patches, third-party updates, and critical hotfixes across Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.

• Generate compliance reports and dashboards using Web Reports or integration with SIEM/SOAR tools.

• Troubleshoot issues related to patch failures, client connectivity, and policy compliance.

• Automate regular administrative tasks using Relevance Language, Action Script, and PowerShell.

• Ensure SLA compliance, participate in incident/change/problem management processes as per ITIL standards.

• Provide support for patch deployment during scheduled maintenance windows and handle emergency patch cycles.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in IBM BigFix platform (also known as HCL BigFix).

• Strong hands-on knowledge of:

  • BigFix Console, Web Reports, and Fixlet development

  • Relevance Language and Action Script

  • Patch deployment for Windows, Linux, and other OS

• Experience with client troubleshooting, relay/server setup, and patch compliance reporting.

• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic networking.

• Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
