BigFix Software Administrator

Our customer is looking for a BigFix Administrator who can write relevance, use the "compliance module" checks and powershell or bash scripts.

About the role

The BigFix Administrator shall perform CIS Checklist Hardening and assist on occasional BigFix Deployments for this project with ESM Technology. The customer needs to tighten endpoint security policies by adding CIS checks both out of the box and writing custom checks. The role includes tracking required security software installed for Desktops and Servers, assisting with deployment and training for other BigFix Customers.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the BigFix Software and gain a clear understanding of the customer BigFix architecture for Server and Desktop environments
• Review BigFix CIS Checklists out of the box
• Review Checklists to be deployed and determine which checks will require customization to meet customer security standards
• Identify required Security Software to be installed and running on desktops and servers to build required security software checks
• Identify Red Hat Linux (RHEL) and Windows machines to deploy CIS and custom required security software checks
• Work with BigFix Engineers to determine Install Environment, identify best practices architecture and install BigFix server and agents
• Write custom Checks as per customer requirements
• Write relevance, fixlets and scripts
• Write PowerShell and Bash scripts
• Collaborate with ESM Technology's BigFix Engineers and report to the technical supervisor

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years working with HCL BigFix
• Advanced relevance writing skills
• Advanced PowerShell and Bash Shell Scripting Skills
• Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux
• Experience working on VMware or AWS cloud environments
• Meticulous Attention to detail
