Position Summary

Quinco is seeking a Bilingual Machine Operator to operate and monitor equipment used to sort, grade, and pack fresh fruit.

This position works directly with our production team to keep the packing line running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is comfortable working around machinery, has experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, packing, or similar production environment, and can communicate effectively with employees in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Operate fruit sorting, grading, and packing equipment.
• Start, stop, adjust, and monitor machinery during production.
• Monitor equipment and product flow to identify problems or interruptions.
• Make routine machine adjustments as needed to maintain efficient operation.
• Supervise and coordinate staff working on the packing equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical problems when repairs are needed.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and cleaning.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company food safety, workplace safety, and equipment procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong English and Spanish communication skills required.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, packing, food-processing, or similar production environment required.
• Experience operating production or packaging machinery preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn how production equipment operates.
• Comfortable making basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting operating problems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production specifications.
• Dependable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with and communicate clearly with production employees and supervisors.

Work Environment

This position is based at our fruit packing facility in Marysville, California. The job involves working around production machinery and fresh produce and requires regular standing, walking, and movement throughout the packing area.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
