Bilingual Mechanical Engineer Technician - Field Service

Computerized Cutters, Inc. is the world-leading innovator and manufacturer for automation equipment for the sign industry and was founded in 1994. We manufacture and distribute sign-fabrication machinery, including channel letter bending machines, router tables, and metal clincher and riveting machines.

Computerized Cutters, Inc. is currently looking for a Spanish-speaking mechanical engineer technician who can participate in the design, production, installation, and tech support of sign fabrication machinery to their clients, many who are native Spanish speakers.

This position is based in their corporate headquarters located in Plano, TX. However, this position will require a small amount of travel throughout the U.S. and may require an occasional trip overseas.

Duties

• Supports production operations for building new machines
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical equipment and machines either on the phone, zoom or on-site with customers.
• Performs training for customers on the use of our machines. Training typically occurs online or by phone.
• Coordinates and handles maintenance requests ensuring customer’s machines are repaired in a timely and quality manner.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customers sites for emergency service calls.
• CAD experience is a plus.

Experience

• Experience of 1-5 years in mechanical engineering, preferably within a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in critical thinking, analytical skills, and creative problem-solving
• Ability to troubleshoot to diagnose and fix technical problems and implement solutions.
• Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and production drawings.
• Knowledge of US and Metric measurement units, interpret complex written and oral instructions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements

• Professional fluency in English and Spanish
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• College degree in an accredited Mechanical engineering program.
• Valid drivers license
• Local to Dallas/Fort Worth area
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
