• Busy Orthopedics practice is looking for a Part Time, Medical Assistant, to provide assistance to our highly skilled team of Clinicians. The Medical Assistant will perform direct and indirect patient care as assigned by our licensed Clinician staff. This position Is a floating position providing coverage between our Norfolk and Hampton, VA locations.

Some responsibilities include -

• Provide assistance to our NP with basic triage, assist in the monitoring of patient reactions to treatment, and communicate adverse reactions immediately to the appropriate person.
• Maintain patient documentation, notes and follow up.
• Maintain appropriate supply inventory levels on a daily basis, inspect, sterilize, and maintain/clean equipment in accordance with clinics standards.
• Assist with Trigger Point and Joint injections
• Participate in any other designated projects or roles as directed by the Clinician staff.

Some Benefits -

• Part Time 20 - 28 hours per week (Potential to grow to full time)
• Hourly pay of $18 - $22

Some Medical Assistant Requirements -

• High School or higher level of education
• Be available to work Mondays and Wednesdays 8 AM - 6:30 PM, each week.
• Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Have strong written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills.
• 2 Years of medical office experience required
• 1 Year of Medical Assistant experience preferred, training will also be provided.
• Must own a vehicle for commuting between clinic locations.
