Bilingual Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mandarin-Speaking Procurement Specialist to support supplier sourcing, purchasing, and procurement activities. In this role, you will work closely with manufacturers and suppliers in China, coordinate purchasing requirements, negotiate commercial terms, monitor orders, and help ensure products and materials are delivered according to schedule. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations who is confident communicating professionally in both Mandarin and English.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate directly with manufacturers, factories, and suppliers in China regarding purchasing requirements, quotations, production, and deliveries.
• Source suitable products, materials, manufacturers, and suppliers based on business requirements.
• Request and compare supplier quotations, pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and commercial terms.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other supplier arrangements.
• Prepare and coordinate purchase orders and follow up with suppliers throughout the procurement process.
• Monitor production schedules and proactively follow up on potential delays.
• Coordinate shipment requirements and track orders through to delivery.
• Work with suppliers to address product quality concerns, incorrect orders, production issues, and delivery delays.
• Maintain organized supplier information, purchasing records, quotations, and procurement documentation.
• Support supplier onboarding and ongoing supplier performance reviews.

About you

• Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a closely related role.
• Hands-on experience communicating and coordinating with Chinese manufacturers, factories, or suppliers.
• Strong supplier communication and relationship management skills.
• Experience requesting quotations and negotiating pricing, lead times, and supplier terms.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several suppliers, purchase orders, and deadlines at the same time.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
• Able to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with international teams.
