Bilingual Transportation/Dispatch Assistant – Evening Shift

Bilingual Afternoon Driver & Fleet Check-In Coordinator

Fortune One Foods is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented bilingual English/Spanish team member to manage our afternoon and evening driver check-in process.

Our delivery drivers return to the warehouse at different times throughout the afternoon and evening. This position is responsible for receiving drivers when they return, inspecting their trucks, documenting product returns and truck issues, and accurately recording information from drivers for management.

Fluent conversational Spanish and English are required for this position. You must be comfortable speaking directly with drivers in Spanish and documenting information clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in drivers as they return from their delivery routes
• Communicate with drivers in both Spanish and English
• Inspect each returning truck and document its condition
• Document truck damage, mechanical concerns, warning lights, cleanliness issues, or other problems
• Receive, inspect, and document returned products
• Record what was returned and the reason for the return
• Ask drivers about customer issues, delivery problems, accidents, damages, or unusual situations from their route
• Accurately document what drivers report and communicate important information to management
• Verify that required paperwork and information are complete before the driver leaves
• Keep the driver check-in and returns area organized
• Follow the same check-in procedure consistently with every driver

Schedule

This is an afternoon/evening position.

Because our drivers return at different times, the end of the workday can vary. Applicants must have the flexibility to stay until approximately 10:00–11:00 PM when necessary.

This position is best suited for someone who does not have a strict early-evening cutoff and understands that the job is not finished until the assigned returning trucks have been properly checked in.

Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Able to comfortably have conversations in Spanish with drivers
• Able to read, write, and document information clearly in English
• Dependable and punctual
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable asking questions when information is incomplete or something does not look right
• Comfortable inspecting trucks and documenting damage or problems
• Organized and consistent with paperwork
• Basic computer, phone, or tablet skills
• Able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a warehouse and around commercial delivery trucks

Experience in receiving, dispatch, transportation, logistics, fleet operations, inventory, or warehouse operations is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

What Success Looks Like

At the end of each day, management should be able to clearly understand:

What products came back and why?

What condition did each truck return in?

Did the driver report any problems?

Did anything happen with a customer or delivery?

Is there anything that needs to be addressed before the next day's routes?

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of that process—not someone who simply checks boxes.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
