ARISE High School is hiring a staff member to offer Whole Building Support

Job Responsibilities & Expectations:

Whole School Support

● Cover long term teacher leave

● Support or lead an advisory

● Daily subbing based on school needs

● Be assigned as academic mentor support in classrooms

● Support with operations as needed - front desk coverage, event support, etc

● Teach 2 enrichment blocks on Wednesdays

● Attend bi-weekly coaching meetings with an instructional coach

● Participate in “Academic Familia” grade level meetings

● Collaborate with our Student Support team to provide academic support for all students

● Attend and support additional beyond the classroom activities including Advisory retreats, College Tours,

Student-led conferences, and Exhibition nights

Terms and Hours

This is an 11 month employment agreement

This role will have 30 hours a week during regular weeks and up to 40 hours a week when covering a parental

leave or other long term sub assignment

Required Qualifications

● Minimum: Have a bachelor's degree and the ability to get a Sub Emergency Credential

● Preferred: Hold a valid California Teaching Credential or willing to enroll in a program to get the required credential

● Required: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

● Be able to work from and build upon an established curriculum, scope, and sequence

● Growth mindset, commitment to building a healthy staff culture of professional learners

● Commitment to equity and serving the students, families, and community of ARISE

● Committed to further developing the skills and examining the ideologies associated with the ARISE

Benefits

● Long Term Sub Hourly Rate: 32$/hour for non-credentialed subs, 40$/hour for teachers with clear or preliminary teaching credential (single subject)

● Health Benefits (100% coverage for staff and 50% for partners)

● Paid Federal Holidays

● 3% 401k match, and ability to contribute to 403b and 457b

● Staff accrue one (1) hour of sick time for every thirty (30) hours worked in accordance with local and state law.
