Bilingual Workers' Comp Paralegal

Virguez Law is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and compassionate, Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join our Duluth firm.

Workers' Comp is a relatively new and growing department at Virguez, and we are seeking someone who can  immediately contribute to the team, while helping the department thrive and grow.

The ideal candidate will be professional, confident, experienced, approachable and friendly when interacting with clients, and while handling all phases of workers' comp. Requires someone with a strong working knowledge of workers' comp laws and processes, plus the patience, maturity, and compassion to handle the frustrations that are inherent in professionally managing these cases. Must also be able skilled enough to "hit the ground running" and immediately handle a caseload.

Professional Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in English and Spanish for speaking, reading, and writing (no exceptions)
• 2-3 years of extensive WC experience required. (Required)
• Court filing experience with ICMS and understanding of Board forms.
• Experience with litigation and discovery process preferred.
• Ability to identify claim issues and create a plan of action.
• Ability to accurately and efficiently multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational and follow up skills with an acute attention to documentation details.
• Must be knowledgeable about assigned cases and able to discuss claim issues with insurance adjusters and attorney as needed.
• Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Apple computer experience a plus
• Filevine and/or Lead Docket experience a huge plus
