Bilingual Working Foreman. Remodeling & Construction

Plus8 Construction | Plus Eight Designs LLC
Houston, Katy, and surrounding areas
Full-time | $18–$25 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours daily
English and Spanish required

Take the lead on our jobsites.

Plus8 Construction is an established Houston-area remodeling company with more than 12 years in business. We handle residential remodeling and light commercial construction, including kitchens, bathrooms, drywall, painting, framing, flooring, and general repairs.

We are hiring a hands-on Working Foreman to lead crews, coordinate daily site operations, and communicate professionally with clients.

You will work directly with the owner and take responsibility for keeping assigned projects organized, productive, clean, and moving forward. This role combines field leadership with hands-on construction work.

What you will do

  • Lead daily jobsite activities and assign clear tasks to workers.
  • Communicate instructions, quality expectations, and safety requirements in English and Spanish.
  • Work alongside the crew on remodeling, repairs, and punch-list tasks.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and help organize the sequence of work.
  • Review the project scope and daily priorities with the manager.
  • Check workmanship throughout the day and address problems early.
  • Identify material needs ahead of time and coordinate approved pickups and deliveries.
  • Keep tools, materials, and work areas organized.
  • Protect clients’ homes, belongings, and finished surfaces.
  • Give clients clear, respectful updates on daily progress.
  • Refer pricing requests, extra work, and scope changes to the owner for approval.
  • Send daily progress photos and a brief update covering completed work, issues, and next steps.
  • Report delays, damage, safety concerns, and unexpected conditions promptly.
  • Help complete punch lists and prepare projects for client walkthroughs.

What we are looking for

  • Fluent spoken English and Spanish, with the ability to direct crews and communicate with clients in both languages.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on construction or remodeling experience.
  • Previous experience leading workers as a foreman, crew leader, or lead carpenter.
  • Practical skills in several areas such as drywall, painting, carpentry, framing, flooring, trim, cabinet installation, or general repairs.
  • Ability to read measurements, follow drawings, and understand a written scope of work.
  • Confidence using common construction tools safely.
  • Strong organization, punctuality, and follow-through.
  • Professional behavior when working in occupied homes and client businesses.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to local jobsites.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for photos, messages, and daily reports.
  • Ability to perform the essential physical duties of construction work, with reasonable accommodation.

Helpful experience

  • Kitchen and bathroom remodeling.
  • Residential and light commercial projects.
  • Material planning and subcontractor coordination.
  • Punch-list completion and quality inspections.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training.

Pay and opportunity

  • $18–$25 per hour, based on demonstrated skills and leadership experience.
  • Full-time schedule with 8-hour workdays.
  • Direct access to the owner and meaningful responsibility on assigned projects.
  • Opportunity to grow into broader field leadership as the company grows.

This position suits someone who takes initiative, leads respectfully, solves everyday field problems, and follows through without constant reminders.

How to apply

Submit your resume or a short summary of your construction experience. Include:

  • Your strongest hands-on trade skills.
  • Your experience supervising crews and the typical crew size.
  • Your level of English and Spanish proficiency.
  • Your desired hourly rate and earliest start date.
  • Two work references.

Qualified applicants will receive a phone interview. Finalists will complete a paid working interview to demonstrate field skills, crew leadership, and client communication.

Plus8 Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
